Grind gram dal finely in a mortar or in a grinder, do not add water. Add finely chopped onions (no water at all), green chillies, coriander and all the spices to this finely ground dal. Now apply a little oil in the palm and make balls as desired. Now fry these balls on medium heat, do not stir at all after adding the koftas, otherwise there is a risk of breaking the koftas, flip them over after a minute. When they become golden brown, take them out and keep them aside. Now make the gravy. For this, add oil in a pan and fry the onion, then add garlic ginger paste to it and fry it lightly, add tomatoes and soften them. Now take all these things off the stove and put them in a blender and blend them. Now put the blended spices again in the pan and fry them, when the spices are fried, add curd and fry them, now add cumin, hot spices, and coriander powder and green cardamom, add a little water and keep it for cooking. When it starts to boil, add koftas and cook for a while. When the koftas become soft and the gravy thickens to your liking, switch off the stove. Delicious Chana Dal Koftas are ready. Eat with rice or bread.
